The Wishing Factory
to fulfill wishes of Thalassemia & Blood Cancer patients
Sponsor education & healthcare
Who We Are
The Wishing Factory is a registered ISO certified (ISO 9001:2015), not-for-profit organisation that works for the welfare of Thalassemia major and Blood Cancer patients. We aim to continue raising awareness about Thalassemia, an inherited and fatal blood disorder (i.e., passed down through families) in which the body makes an abnormal form of hemoglobin. We are a dedicated band of people, supported by many well-wishers, donors, and volunteers. In fact, we are able to do the work we do only with the help of people such as you!
What We Do
Initiated in 2015, we work in four sectors for Thalassemia major and Blood Cancer patients, i.e., fulfilling wishes, sponsoring education, sponsoring healthcare, and spreading awareness among the general public about these conditions. Most of our patients come from economically poor backgrounds. We support these underprivileged patients by making their wishes come true with individual and corporate philanthropic support. As of today we have fulfilled 306 wishes and sponsored the healthcare and education of patients in Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai. From Barbie dolls to tablets, bicycles to visiting Adlabs Imagica, helicopter rides and mobile phones we have fulfilled them all. The organization fulfilled celebrity wishes of meeting the cast of famous television serial Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah, and Indian Cricketer Irfan Pathan. We have conducted Thalassemia awareness camps in colleges such as Maharaja Sayaji Rao University in Vadodara, St Xavier’s College in Mumbai and CZ Patel College in Vidyanagar. We have successfully conducted Smiles Despite Everything, India’s first ever photo-story exhibition on the lives of people associated with the medical conditions of Thalassemia Major and Leukemia (blood cancer) in cities like Mumbai, Varanasi, Ajmer, Delhi, Vadodara and many more coming up. If you have ideas that you think belong here, please contact us. We’d be pleased to hear from you.
